A UX/UI engineer (user experience engineer) is a hybrid UX/UI designer-developer position. In general, they are front-end developers who have a strong understanding of design thinking and principles along with the ability to turn designs into code. The difference between UX/UI designers vs. engineers is that UX/UI designers focus only on the visual and interactive aspects of the user interface, while UX/UI engineers concentrate on translating those designs into functional and responsive interfaces through coding and programming. As a UX/UI engineer you can create aesthetically pleasing designs while also having the technical knowledge to implement them.
In a course you will learn to understand the user needs, conduct research and apply user-centred design principles. You will develop empathy for users, create personas, map the customer journey along with usability testing. To create these user-centred designs you’ll also improve your design skills to create user-friendly interfaces that take into account typography, colour theory, layout design, etc. Furthermore, to best implement your designs, in a course you will also develop your coding skills along with your front-end development skills in CSS, HTML and Javascript. You will also learn how to create functional prototypes to test and validate your design concepts in order to identify usability issues early on in the design process.

Furthermore, in order to be eligible to receive a Bildungsgutschein from the Jobcenter/Agentur für Arbeit you must be living in Germany, be unemployed or soon to be unemployed and registered or in the process of registering with the Jobcenter/Agentur für Arbeit.
