Key skills needed to be a financial account

To be successful as a financial accountant, you need strong data analysis skills along with sound accounting practice knowledge. Furthermore, critical thinking skills are valuable in addition to preparing financial statements and strong technological skills. While the expertise to succeed in this role can be learned through a course, an underlying interest in dealing with numbers, legal texts and business processes is highly beneficial. There are various courses you can take in the fields of finance and accounting, from payroll to accounts receivable and payable. However, advanced German knowledge is not always a prerequisite, as during a course that includes German lessons, you will build your industry specific vocabulary and intercultural skills to excel in this role.
